Chief Minister Andrew Barr celebrated a long lunch of the linear kind in Canberra's eat street, Woolley Street, Dickson.

Mr Barr, bods from the City Renewal Authority and Woolley St. Project and some volunteers from Vinnies all sat down for lunch at a very long table on one of Canberra's most famous eat streets.
The Woolley St. Project is designed to create a more vibrant, people-focused place for the Dickson community through a range of temporary trials over the next seven weeks.
That includes a public alfresco dining area just in time for some balmier nights.
A range of activities are planned over coming weeks, culminating in the Great Woolley Street Feast on November 9.

Five restaurants this week provided the food for the lucky dinners including the Chief minister as a sample of what will be on offer in November: Ducks Nuts Bar & Grill, Super Bao, Pho @ Dickson, ChongQing Street Noodle and Tak Kee Roast Inn.
The street feast will run the length of Woolley Street and the idea is to grab a bowl and sample all the precinct has to offer.
It's on from 6pm to 9.30pm on November 9. There will be two sittings with diners given 90 minutes of all you can eat.
Tickets are from trybooking.com or dicksoncbr.com.au
Some of the initial trials to spice up Dickson include cherry blossom trees, festoon lighting and converting some parking bays into short-stay bays for quick takeaway pickups.
From mid-October, a plaza will be built to host events and activities in the street such as a community concert, martial arts demonstration, takeaway movie night, ping pong tournament, night markets, paper festival and bonsai workshop.
There will also be a Dressed by Vinnies Fashion Parade in Woolley Street on Friday, November 1 at 6.30pm.
