Long Eaton cafe to reopen this weekend - but the toilets will remain closed

A park cafe will be reopening this weekend for takeaway after the start of the season was delayed by lockdown.

West Perk Cafe will be serving from the door, with a limited menu of hot and cold drinks, ice creams, snacks and hot and cold food.

The cafe in West Park, Long Eaton, had been due to reopen for the season on March 21, for weekends, and then seven days a week from April 6 but lockdown put an end to that.

The cafe in West Park, in Long Eaton, will be back to business from Saturday, May 16, at 10am.

However, Erewash Borough Council has said the toilets will remain closed but visitors have been asked to bear that in mind.

"Playing it a bit by ear so will have a better idea once we have we reopened as to times and days," said the boss, Karen Shaw.

"Please adhere to social distancing when queuing."
