Rush hour commuters are facing long delays on the M6 this morning.
There are currently tailbacks following roadworks on the motorway overnight.
A resurfacing vehicle broke down delaying the roadworks, which were scheduled to re-open by 5am.

Traffic has built up between junction 27 at Crow Orchard Road, in Standish, Wigan and junction 28 at Leyland.
Travel time is currently around 35 minutes.
Lanes one and two of three were closed until around 7.40pm.
All lanes have been re-opened.
