There's huge queues in Clifton this evening after the suspension bridge's contactless payment device has stopped working.
According to reports, the system went down during rush hour today, May 3.
One driver said: “Looks like the contactless pay system is broken down, causing lengthy delays.
"Traffic backing up through Clifton, problems at both ends of bridge.”

Another witness, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Bristol Live : "The contactless point on Clifton suspension bridge is broken and traffic is getting really busy around there.
"Backlog of cars according to my friend who has just driven through."
Bristol Live contacted officials at Clifton Suspension Bridge for a comment.
