An Edinburgh cinema has been named as one of the city's best hidden gems that you can visit for free.
The Grassmarket Picture House was mentioned by the Lonely Planet as a great spot to head to if you're on a tight budget, along with a number of other locations throughout the city.
Providing some suggestions for alternative attractions, the list featured some more general outdoor locations, as well as some tucked away spots in the city centre.
Making the exclusive list was the community cinema in the Grassmarket, which is part of the Grassmarket Community Project, an organisation that offers a number of social enterprises and local events.
Raving about the local screen, Lonely Planet said: "There are numerous indie cinemas in Edinburgh, but Grassmarket Picture House is the only free one, putting on a programme of old and recent releases mere minutes from the Royal Mile.
"For more budget-friendly film events, check out local festivals such as Take One Action and Africa in Motion. Many offer a sliding scale, pay-what-you-can model if money is tight."
Suggesting an array of different activities for the slightly broke visitor, the list also recommended sites such as Gorgie Farm, or to take an educating stroll through the National Museum of Scotland.

Calton and Blackford Hill also bagged a mention, as well as the Innocent Railway/Colinton Tunnel, which has recently become quite the Instagram spot.
