In today’s Londoner’s Diary Tristram Hunt says Britain should loan its Turners, Constables and Wedgwoods to other countries. Later on: Sir Ian McKellen says he thought Russell T Davies was “being a bit naughty” when he said only gay actors should play gay characters and Kazuo Ishiguro suggests living in Golders Green, which “is not full of writers”, may have something to do with his success. And in our SW1A today a cross-party group of MPs say ministers must sort out a rent dispute at Piccadilly’s Burlington House.
