Londoner’s Diary: Our museum is safest place for marbles, says Greek Embassy

Parthenon Marbles

(Picture: PA Archive/PA Images)

Welcome to the last Londoner’s Diary of the week. First up we hear from the Greek Embassy who are asking the British Museum to return the Parthenon marbles to Athens following a reported leak in one of the museum’s galleries. Later today we learn about Stephen Fry’s new book which promises “a bevy of unforgettable anecdotes” about its subject... ties. We also hear that Nish Kumar is speaking to a therapist in order to deal with blowback from his comedy. In SW1A Tory MP Dehenna Davison seems wowed after meeting some “gorgeous” baby alpacas and plans to write to Defra about their bovine TB testing regime.
