Londoner’s Diary: Flooded Speccie? Don’t blame climate change

Welcome back to the Londoner’s Diary. First up we learn The Spectator’s offices have flooded as a result of Sunday’s deluge. New Phantom of the Opera star Lucy St Louis believes she has “blown the door off its hinges” as the first black woman to lead the show and Sir Bernard Ingham, Margaret Thatcher’s former press secretary, tells us he’s not impressed by Dominic Cummings. In SW1A Jess Phillips says she has little time for the “gamification” of politics and Sajid Javid’s youngest daughter bakes him some special cupcakes to mark the end of their isolation.
