This event is an exciting opportunity to see a sneak preview of Tamasha Theatre’s new site-specific participatory theatre project, Taxi Tales, in London for the first time. Join Tamasha’s artistic director Fin Kennedy for a live performance by Middlesbrough’s minicab drivers, who have been working with playwright Ishy Din to develop monologues which are in turn, performed to customers in their cabs. Tutor profile

Fin Kennedy is an award-winning playwright whose plays have been produced in the UK and abroad. He has written for the Soho Theatre, the Sheffield Crucible and Southwark Playhouse, among others, and has had three Afternoon Plays broadcast on BBC Radio 4. His play How To Disappear Completely And Never Be Found became the first unproduced play ever to win the John Whiting Award. Fin is also the artistic director of Tamasha theatre company, and one of the 10 ‘Masters’ behind the new MA in Dramatic Writing at Central Saint Martins, London.

Taxi Tales is currently at research and development stage so this will be a work-in-progress performance. Tamasha hopes to roll the format out in other UK towns and cities next year.
