London was hit with torrential rain during its Monday morning rush hour as temperatures plummeted overnight.
The wet weather is expected to continue throughout the rest of the week with frequent showers and thunder forecast.
The rest of Monday morning and early afternoon will see frequent, often heavy, showers across London and the southeast of England, the Met Office said.
Thunder and hail are also a possibility as the rain continues throughout the day and into the evening.
Overnight, the rain in London will ease off but mist and fog is likely as the temperature drops to as low as 10C.
Tuesday is expected to see less rain but high winds and showers are likely in the afternoon.
