There will be additional delays on the westbound A13. The M11 southbound has additional traffic during peak periods.

No trains to / from London Fenchurch Street from 20:45 until end of service until Thursday

Engineering work is taking place between London Fenchurch Street and Barking, closing all lines from 20:45 until the end of service.

Trains will be diverted to run to / from London Liverpool Street on the line via Stratford (London). London Liverpool Street is a short distance from London Fenchurch Street.

Shuttle train services will run between Upminster and Grays via Ockendon.

The 15:33 London Kings Cross to Harrogate will terminate at Leeds. Passengers for Harrogate are advised to catch alternative services towards Harrogate.

London Ambulance Service has provided more information about the incident on Westminster Bridge.

A spokesperson said: “We were called today (Wednesday 8) at 10.10am to reports of an incident on Westminster Bridge.

We sent resources including ambulance crews, an emergency planning manager, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

We treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police are currently on Westminster Bridge following concerns for the welfare of a man.

Officers were called at 10:12hrs on Wednesday, 8 October and are now in the process of speaking to the man.

Isaac Ullah, 21, wore his team’s white and green away top while driving a rail replacement bus near the Stamford Bridge stadium in west London.

So we currently held (stuck ) underground in the train (metropolitan line) between kingcross and euston square. The Hammersmith & City line is part suspended between Barking and Liverpool Street

There are serious delays on the A3. According to TfL, traffic is very slow with northbound delays on Queenstown Road back to Silverthorne Road.

Traffic is also heavy on Prince of Wales Drive and Battersea Park Road approaching Queenstown Road.

There are also southbound delays on Chelsea Bridge back to Ebury Bridge Road.

District line disruption

TfL's 'disturbing' social media video

Christmas rail shutdown

Rail passengers have been warned of more than a fortnight of disruption over the Christmas period due to the annual engineering shutdown.

There will be no Greater Anglia trains between Liverpool Street and Stratford from Christmas Day until January 2, though the Elizabeth line – which uses platforms underneath Liverpool Street station – will continue as normal.

There are serious delays on the A12 Eastern Avenue East in both directions between A12 Colchester Road and A127 Southend Arterial Road, due to TfL works.
