London travel news LIVE: Disruption on the Central and Bakerloo lines

Commuters may face some disruption on their way to work this morning.

There is no service between Newbury Park and Woodford via Hainault on the Central line today.

The Bakerloo line is reporting severe delays between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to train cancellations.

Disruption between Redhill and Gatwick Airport expected until 11:30am

There is a safety inspection of the track between Redhill and Gatwick Airport taking place, disrupting some lines running between these stations.

As a result of this issue, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

Gatwick Express services are currently suspended.

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, closing some lines.

The 03:46am Swansea to London Paddington will depart earlier at 03:38am. It will arrive / depart Neath, Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend a few minutes earlier than normal before diverting between Bridgend and Cardiff Central (via Barry – not calling). Normal timings departing Cardiff Central and beyond.

Hammersmith and City lines resumes good service

Disruption between Oxford and Didcot Parkway expected until 12pm

There was a minor freight train derailment within the depot between Oxford and Didcot Parkway yesterday which closed the line running towards Didcot Parkway.

Repair work is ongoing, and disruption to services will continue throughout this morning whilst teams work to fully reopen the line. Trains running through the affected area may be cancelled, delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 12pm.

Delays expected between Stratford (London) and Clapham Junction / Richmond until 10am

Lines reopened between Bishops Stortford and Broxbourne after person hit by train

Lines between Bishops Stortford and Broxbourne have reopened after an earlier incident where a person was sadly hit by a train.

Trains running between Bishops Stortford and Broxbourne, and also between Hertford East and Broxbourne, are returning to normal but may still be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 12.00, including to Stansted Express services between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street.

Other routes affected include Greater Anglia trains between Ely / Cambridge North / Cambridge / Stansted Airport / Hertford East and London Liverpool Street, and also between Cambridge / Bishop Stortford and Stratford

Northern line delays resolved

There is severe congestion on the M25 between junctions 2 and 1A.

Delays of up to 10 minutes are expected until 10.15.

Moderate congestion is expected on the M25 anticlockwise entry slip at junction 1A until 9.00.

Trains from London Euston to Wigan and Warrington disrupted

A fault with the signalling system in the Wigan North Western / Warrington Bank Quay areas is causing major disruption as several lines are blocked.

Trains running through these stations, including services to London Euston, may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted until around 12.00.

A fault with the signalling system in the Dalston Kingsland area is causing disruption to journeys between Highbury & Islington and Stratford.

Disruption is expected on London Overground trains until around 12.00.

Reduced Thameslink service between Sutton and Blackfriars

A shortage of train crew on the Thameslink route between Sutton and London Blackfriars means a reduced service will run until approximately 5.00.

Some cancellations are expected throughout the morning and into the afternoon.

Thameslink suggests leaving an extra 30 minutes of time if your train is affected.
