Trains between central London and Heathrow are facing disruption throughout Monday due to tunnel closure between Hayes & Harlington and the airport.
Transport for London (TfL) is reporting no service between the west London station and Heathrow terminals and severe delays on the lines to Paddington.
National Rail is reporting that a tunnel has been closed for safety reasons, meaning fewer trains are able to run. Heathrow Express is running a reduced service.
The disruption is expected to last until the end of the day, according to National Rail.
There are also delays on trains between London and Gatwick Airport due to a trackside fire in Lewisham.

How can I get to Heathrow by avoiding the Elizabeth line?

If you want to avoid the disruption on the Elizabeth line today, there are a number of ways you can still travel to Heathrow airport.
You can use the Piccadilly line to travel to all Heathrow terminals.
Many London Overground services also serve Heathrow. You’ll need to make a change at an interchange station such as Stratford, Liverpool Street, Clapham Junction or Shepherd’s Bush. You don’t need to buy separate tickets to do this, you can just tap in and out using the same payment method across both networks.
Buses are also another option for travelling to Heathrow.
You can travel to Southall on Elizabeth line services and take the 105 London bus, or you can travel to Hayes and Harlington and take the SL9 or 278 London bus.
For Terminal 5, you can travel to Hayes and Harlington or West Drayton and take the 350 London bus.
And, for Terminals 4 and 5 you can travel to Southall and take the 482 London bus, or you can use the free shuttle service at Heathrow Airport to travel to Terminals 4 and 5.
Reduced service on two London Overground lines due to driver shortages

There will be a reduced service on the Windrush and Mildmay lines today due to a shortage of London Overground train drivers.
This will affect services travelling between Stratford and Richmond, and also between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon.
Services will be affected until around 3pm today.

Tree on the track at Enfield Town

The blockage, which is at Enfield Town, means there is no service between that station and Edmonton Green.

What happened at Seven Sisters?

Passengers have reported an evacuation at Seven Sisters station in north London at around 7:30am.
The message on the tannoy was to please leave the station immediately due to an emergency.
One passenger, who got on the Tube at Tottenham Hale, said they then had to get off when the train stopped at Seven Sisters.
"We waited for ages at Seven Sisters for the train to move ahead of us. We were then told to get off and wait for the next train. Then there was an announcement to get out of the station due to an emergency," the passenger said.

Unsurprisingly, commuters are confused about the reported “flooding” on the Elizabeth line on Monday morning.
The operator is reporting flooding between Hayes & Harlington and Paddington.
However, London is currently experiencing one of its driest spells on record. The capital hasn’t seen a proper downpour since June, with July going entirely without rain.
