Louis Paulhan takes off from Lichfield in his Henri Farman III aircraft to complete the final leg of the Daily Mail London to Manchester air race. Paulhan flew the 185-mile (297km) course in 4 hours and 12 minutes at an average speed of 44 mph (70 kmh)
