The London EV Company which makes the iconic London taxi has boosted its regional presence across the UK by opening three new dealerships.
Based in Nottingham, Slough and Southampton, the new London EV Company (LEVC) retailers will offer sales and aftersales support.
LEVC’s existing retail network is spread across 12 UK cities with its latest model the TX electric taxi now a common sight on the streets of Birmingham, Coventry, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as its largest market, London.
The expansion aims to further grow sales of the TX.
Coventry-based LEVC recently celebrated a record September with its best month of sales in company history.
A total of 352 TXs were sold, building on month-on month sales growth since April this year.

Jöerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome new partners in Nottingham, Southampton and Slough into the LEVC family, expanding our retail network as we implement our growth strategy.
“These new dealerships will help us engage with our customers in a greater number of regions in the UK, bringing us closer than ever to the people who drive our taxis every day.”
The TX uses eCity technology, which combines 80 miles of zero-emissions pure electric range with the flexibility of a total electrically driven range of 377 miles - made possible thanks to the on-board petrol-powered range-extender.
In addition to savings in fuel and servicing costs for drivers, passengers benefit from a large and well equipped cabin capable of seating six people complete with a panoramic roof, onboard wi-fi and charging points for mobile phones and laptops.
LEVC’s range will grow further in 2020 with the launch of a new electric van, based on the TX Taxi and sharing the same eCity technology.
