Two men are fighting for their lives after separate street attacks in London.
The men, both aged in their 20s, have been rushed to hospital after they were knifed in Poplar and Queensbury.
Police said a 25-year-old man was attacked in New Village Avenue, Poplar, at 11.15pm.
He remains in a critical condition and detectives have launched an investigation.
A Met Police spokesman said: "An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Central East Command Unit. There has been no arrest at this stage.
"Any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist police should call 101 quoting ref 9177/18Sep"
Another man is also in a critical condition in hospital after he was stabbed in Eton Grove, Queensbury, hours earlier.
Police rushed to the scene at 6.30pm on Wednesday to find a man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering from knife wounds.
London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended and he was air lifted to an east London hospital.
A police spokesman said. "Next of kin have been informed. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. No arrests.
