
The Central London Alliance has launched its annual London Sports Festival in the capital.
The sporting series, which is being held at various venues including St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, will give Londoners and visitors the chance to compete and connect over a summer of sport.
This week, the two-day launch event provided a glimpse into the series which is set to get underway on May 26 through until October.

The festival will comprise sporting events in padel, pickleball, basketball, football, bucketball, table tennis, and for the first time in the UK, padel table tennis; all in some of London’s most famous locations and open to all abilities and ages.
The London Sports Festival will also offer tournaments for businesses to network, showcases from elite athletes, and free family-friendly coaching sessions in collaboration with charity initiatives.

Previous editions of the festival have seen local players break Guinness World Records for the Longest Marathon Playing Pickleball and the Longest Marathon Playing Padel.

LSF isn’t just about competition — it’s about collaboration, health, and creating lasting memories across all ages and backgrounds,” said Tony Matharu, chairman of Central London Alliance CIC, producers of the London Sports Festival.
City of London Corporation Policy Chairman, Chris Hayward, added: “We want to make sure that the City is a destination that workers want to commute to, and that people want to visit. Part of that drive is ensuring that there are unique experiences at lunchtimes, before and after work, and at the weekends.”
