London's nine most wanted: police share images of suspects being hunted over array of violent crimes

Police today released images of nine of London’s most wanted suspects who are being hunted over an array of violent crimes in the capital.

The alleged offences, ranging from knife attacks to an assault on a police officer, date from 2011 to last month.

Scotland Yard issued photos of the men as they appealed for help tracking them down, warning members of the public not to approach them if they are spotted, but to call 999 instead.

The suspects include a man who left his victim partially blind after attempting to gouge out his eyes.

In a different case, the suspect punched a woman in the head and shoved another to the ground.

Daniel Cawley, 26, of north London. Suspected of attempt to flee car crash and attack on victim (METROPOLITAN POLICE SERVICE)

One suspect is wanted for repeatedly stabbing a victim following an argument eight years ago.

Patrick Ward, 20, of south-west London. Suspected assaulting police officer while fleeing a burglary (METROPOLITAN POLICE SERVICE)

Detective Superintendent Lee Hill said some of the attacks left victims with “extremely serious injuries” and appealed for the public’s help in finding the nine men.

Also wanted (pictured top):

Nicholas Leer, 44, of north London, is suspected to have started a fight with a victim and smashed his head into the ground until he was unconscious

Yousef Majed, 25, of Harrow. Suspected attacking two people with wooden bar, metal poles and knives

Gabriel Latouche, 18, Ealing. Suspected to have stabbed man. Thought to be involved in supplying drugs

James Legg, 25, of central London, is suspected of attacking woman with knife and punching someone

Alex Ellis, 28, of Lambeth. Suspected of punching a woman in head and pushing another to the floor

Mohammed Yassin, 32, suspected to have stabbed victim multiple times and is wanted on recall from prison

He added: “I know some people are unwilling to pass on information such as this. However, I would ask people to consider how they would feel if it was their family member, loved one or friend that had been seriously injured or the victim of crime.

“Violence, drug and other priority crimes such as burglary are of great concern to the communities of London. We are committed to tackling these issues robustly and those we suspect to be causing harm and attempting to evade justice.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
