A London police officer has been fired after trying to coerce a vulnerable woman into sending him naked photos of herself.
PC Kevin Mohess, of North East Command Unit, was dismissed without notice after he was found to have committed gross misconduct, Scotland Yard said.
While on duty in October 2018, Mohess was sent to the address of the victim, identified only as Ms X, a three-day misconduct hearing was told this month.
She wanted to report that nude and intimate pictures of her had been circulated online without her permission.
Following their encounter, Mohess is alleged to have contacted the woman on social media between November 15 and December 6, 2018.
He suggested they meet for a drink and that Ms X should send him explicit and personal photos of herself.
The victim recognised him from his social media pictures as the officer she had reported her crime to.
Mohess was also accused of using confidential information, obtained in his role as a police officer, to encourage the victim to send the intimate images.
The misconduct panel found all the allegations to be proven and ruled the appropriate sanction was dismissal without notice.
However, the hearing sparked some controversy for being held behind doors, meaning reporters were unable to attend.
