London Marathon 2019: How to track celebrity runners live, from Mark Wright to Natalie Cassidy

It's that time again. The London Marathon is taking place today, and various brave celebrities are taking part for charity.

Scores of famous faces will be taking part in the gruelling 26.2 mile run through London in a bid to raise money for different charities - or just prove to themselves they've got what it takes to finish.

Marathon regulars Chris Evans, Kirsty Gallacher and many EastEnders stars are among the many to be posting on Instagram to share their excitement and fears.

The Great British Bake Off's Candice Brown, who is among the many, shared a touching message as she does the run in memory of her late grandfather.

"This Sunday i take on my biggest challenge yet - the @londonmarathon A’s part of the @dementiarevolution please help support and spread awareness and raise vital funds because quite frankly Alzheimer’s is s**t and heartbreaking for everyone involved!" she wrote.

"I'm doing this in memory of my grandad Fred and that is pretty much the only thing that will carry me through!"

Comedian Ed Gamble nervously wrote: "Tomorrow I'll be running the London Marathon for the second time to raise money for @jdrf_uk.

I'm somehow more nervous for it this time round - my own type 1 Diabetes has not been playing ball marvellously during the training, which has made things trickier, but I'm still determined to run strong and true."

EastEnders star Adam Woodyat is running for Dementia Revolution in aid of Dame Barbara Windsor, who was sadly diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2014.

He will be joined by fellow actress Natalie Cassidy, who said: "I feel so privileged and honoured to be part of Barbara's Revolutionaries."

Also joining their colleagues will be EastEnders bad boy Max Branning, played by Jake Wood, who also supporting Babs through the charity.

Barbara's husband Scott Mitchell will be leading Team Barbara in support of his wife.

Scott recently told the Loose Women that he had hoped his wife would be able to greet him at the finish line.

But because of her deteriorating health, Scott confirmed she will not be cheering him on from the streets, instead watching from her home.
