'London is still Blue' - Chelsea fans troll Arsenal following Europa League defeat to Olympiacos

It did not take too long for the reactions to start flooding in following an incredible evening of Europa League action in North London.

Arsenal were dramatically knocked out of Europe despite heading back from the away leg of their clash against Olympiacos with a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Alexandre Lacazette.

However, with 10 minutes gone of the second half, a nervy Arsenal display allowed the Greek side to capitalise, with Pape Abou Cisse nodding the visitors into the lead on the night from a corner.

With the scores level at full-time, extra time was needed and it looked like the Gunners had secured a place in the Round of 16 thanks to a stunning strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Arsenal captain acrobatically knocked the ball home with seven minutes remaining - but it left enough time for Arsenal to concede again, with Youssef El-Arabi poking home from a cross as time ticked away.

The Gunners still had one last chance to convert, with Aubameyang missing an absolute sitter before the referee blew for full-time.

And Chelsea fans were quick to get in their digs against Arsenal - with a timely reminder of what happened at the end of last season in Baku.

Arsenal's only hope of securing Champions League football next season is now via league position, but they currently sit ninth in the table.

Following Manchester City's two-year ban from European competitions, fifth place will now qualify for next season (if City still finish in the top four).

However, they have appealed the ban with the Court of Arbitration for Sport already. Chelsea are currently sitting fourth in the table, with Manchester United three points behind in fifth and Spurs a further point back in sixth.
