Preen by Thornton Bregazzi
What do models and Darth Vader have in common? Preen. of course. This season Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi's sumptuous prints had hidden Star Wars references - Darth Vaders head to be precise. If this isn't your bag then there were beautiful dresses with a tesseract-print, parkas with oversized hoods and the most stunning vivid red coat

Tom Ford
No one does glamour like Tom Ford, with a plush mirrored set that harked back to his Gucci days, a sprinkling of supermodels, brightly coloured fur coats, a plunge-front tuxedo and sequin-sports tee dresses that riffed on Jay Z's Tom Ford rap – coming to Mrs Carter's Instagram account soon, no doubt

Anya Hindmarch
Anya's models went wild in the aisles at her supermarket-checkout themed show within a barcode set complete with conveyor belt catwalk. Daz and Frosties bags nestled in the models' wire shopping baskets and made us reconsider our Ocado order. Jazz hands in aisle four!

The fluffy stole has gone from zero to hero in our book. If you aren't already thinking about accquiring something fuzzy for your September wardrobe you really need to lift your fashion game. And what better way to nail the trend than with Marques'Almeida's primary bright faux fur balls of fluff paired with raw edge denim and slouchy silk pants? Straight to the top of our dream wardrobe looks

JW Anderson
In case you missed the memo from New York fashion week, funnel necks are in. JW Anderson's artfully sculpted silhouette focused on high necks and ankle-dusting hems. It also ignited a lust for corduroy we didn't know we had

Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane designs with an otherwordly precision and this season the sculptured finale dresses, reminiscent of pages layered from a book, were exquisite. Among the delicate organza was a neon Victorian blouse worn with a PVC skirt, and following on from the spring/summer collection were a scattering of Kane's signature botanical prints

Eudon Choi
A fashion groupie's perfect wardrobe, which ticked off all the trends, (hello, funnel necks and fluffy coats). We loved the coats, parkas are where it's at this winter and the pink ponyskin boots by Joanne Stoker are worthy of their own fan club

Erdem
Red carpet season is upon us and Erdem's show (and deep red carpeted catwalk) served as a timely reminder that this is a designer who should be considered more in that arena. We say, Carey Mulligan would look cute in look 35 (seen on the model in blue at the back of the line)

Mary Katrantzou
Mary Katrantzou was on the right foot from the start, opening her autumn/winter 2014 show with old-school super-cool model Kirsten Owen, this collection was pared back and ultra-modern, with a sporty silhouette, including tank dresses, slips and sweatshirts

Peter Pilotto
Fresh from a sellout collaboration with Target, Peter Pilotto's autumn/winter 2014 collection pushed its signature prints into intricate embellishment. Ticking the fold/pleat and abstract patchwork trend boxes, it also superbly demonstrates the duo's deft touch with pattern
