London Fashion Week 2019: How to create Victoria Beckham's beauty look

Victoria Beckham announced four days ago that she was finally launching her own beauty line. So, of course, all eyes were not only on her new season AW19 designs at her latest London Fashion Week show, but also, on the hair and makeup.

Although Beckham's makeup and skincare collection isn't launching until later this year, the clean and natural beauty aesthetic for her AW19 show was the definition of 'a VB girl'.

Models had their hair fashioned into very simple low ponytails, which Beckham herself also sported on the day.

“Victoria has really established her beauty idea now, which is that very easy, nonchalant beauty, almost like you haven’t bothered,” said Guido Palau, Redken Global Creative Director.

To create the look, the hair was blow-dried into a messy middle parting using Redken's Heat Styling Satinwear to give it a silky finish. A single elastic string was then wrapped around the hair and secured to create the ponytail - giving a chicer effect than an ordinary hair tie.

To finish, a curling iron was used to ever-so-slightly bend the ends, giving an overall less-polished look. The best part? The hairstyle took no more than five-to-ten minutes to create.

Models were then whisked off to makeup, where they were firstly treated to a two-minute massage using The Cream by Augustinus Bader.

The hydrating cream is known to be a personal favourite of Beckham's, who took to Instagram in 2018 to reveal that she used it "both day and night", saying it was "AMAZING!!"

"VB knows skincare is vital, so each model started with a two-minute massage using Augustinus Bader cream," said facialist and renowed aesthetician, Nichola Joss.

“With Victoria Beckham it’s about dewy, fresh, clean skin," she continued. Explaining that the cream's high-tech formula manages to immediately rejuvenate the complexion, leaving a youthful, radiant glow.

It may be pricey at £205, but if it's going to give us skin like VB's, we're willing to give it a try.
