Where else can you see a lightsaber-brandishing fan dressed up as Darth Vader, then come across a cosplayer with electric blue Miku hair, and then bump into someone zipped up in a Pikachu onesie? But of course, it is Comic-Con this weekend in London and a sea of film and comic fans will descend onto the ExCel convention centre. If you’re planning to be there we would love to hear from you.
Since May 2002, this biannual event has treated enthusiasts to comic villages, videofests, exhibitions, stalls showcasing the best of Japanese, Korean and Asian culture, game expos and cosplay competitions.
Are you and your friends going to Comic-Con this year? Have you assembled an incredibly creative costume? How long did it take you to make? Perhaps you’ve spotted people on their way to the event? Whoever - or whatever - you’ve decided to dress up as share your pictures, videos and stories via GuardianWitness. However, please do not submit photos of anyone who is under the age of 16, unless you have their parents’ consent. We’ll feature the best on the site.
You can share your photos, videos and stories with us by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ buttons. Or if you’re out and about you can download the GuardianWitness app or look for our assignments in the new Guardian app.
