London College of Communication

Generations of award‑winning filmmakers, journalists, broadcasters, designers and photographers have learned their skills here and it is this rich heritage, combined with a responsiveness to fast‑evolving industries, that puts us at the centre of developments in the digital world.

Innovation and the articulation of ideas are central to the LCC experience and the college offers an exciting "live" environment. Our photographic and television studios, darkrooms, gallery spaces, sound design and interactive media and animation suites, broadcast and printing studios, and print newsrooms enable students to develop their creative skills.

Our tutors are all experts in their fields and many are also leading practitioners with close links to industry. This means students are often commissioned to work on projects for major companies.

London College of Communication also houses the archives of filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, journalist Phillip Knightley and graphic designer Tom Eckersley, and offers an invaluable teaching, learning and research base.

With around 5,000 students across 52 courses, the college is based on a single site in central London, renowned for its concentration of key media and design companies. It is also within easy reach of major arts venues such as Tate Modern, the Design Museum and the Southbank Centre.

LCC's specialist areas include: graphic design and advertising; photography, film and animation; journalism; publishing; public relations; sound arts and design; and interactive and spatial design. Our current range of courses is offered at access, foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
