London-bound Houston Texans stars record good luck message for England ahead of Rugby World Cup Final

The forthcoming weekend is a sizable one for both the England rugby team and the NFL's Houston Texans.

While the former take on South Africa in the final of the 2019 World Cup in Yokohama, Japan, the latter head across the Atlantic to face AFC South rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars in only their second-ever international contest and first to be held in London.

A loose connection between the two sides appeared to be forged on Sunday, when England head coach Eddie Jones was spotted donning a Texans baseball cap in the stands as he watched Wales take on South Africa alongside defence coach John Mitchell.

That game came 24 hours after his team had produced an incredible display to defeat reigning world champions New Zealand 19-17 and reach their first World Cup final since 2007.

The Texans are due to arrive in the UK on Friday and ahead of that trip, linebackers Brennan Scarlett and Whitney Mercilus issued a good luck message to England for their date with destiny against the Springboks.
