'I wanted some of those comforting, nostalgic motifs to live in our new Loloi collection,' she tells me. Think classic florals, nature-inspired motifs, and even pastoral scenes of grazing cows and swimming ducks. The collection itself is divided into sub-collections of rugs in varying styles and materiality. 'The Edith rugs, for example, are very bold, with a garden’s worth of multicolor florals,' Anna explains of these hand-tufted wool pile rugs with their wild, live edge finishes. Plus, it draws on 'classic techniques like quilting, cross-stitch, and block printing,' Anna says. There's a sense of familiarity and heritage woven into the designs of these rugs, as well as a sense of freshness and modern appeal. 'As a whole, the spring collections are very playful, and expand on the nostalgic, folk art-inspired look we’ve been loving,' Anna adds.
