Lollapalooza 4-day general admission passes quickly sell out

March 22--Lollapalooza four-day general admission passes sold out in less than an hour Tuesday morning as organizers announced they will reveal the Grant Park festival lineup 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Soundsystem are expected to headline the festival that's scheduled for July 28-31, according to Billboard magazine, which cited an unnamed source.

One-day general admission passes, which cost $120, and one-day VIP passes, priced at $650, are slated to go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Four-day general admission passes, which cost $335, sold out in about 46 minutes Tuesday after they went on sale at 10 a.m., Lollapalooza reps announced on Twitter.

Four-day VIP passes, priced at $2,200, were still available for purchase Tuesday morning. The passes include access to restricted lounges, golf cart transportation, special viewing platforms, catered food and air-conditioned restrooms, among other perks.

Platinum passes, priced at $4,200 for four days, include VIP perks and access to air-conditioned hospitality areas, special viewing areas and a merchandise gift bag. These passes were still available, as of Tuesday morning.

Lollapalooza, which is typically three days, drew an estimated 100,000 people each day last year. The festival is expanding to four days this year for its 25th anniversary.
