“Messy” singer Lola Young was captured collapsing on stage midway through her performance at the All Things Go Festival in New York.
Young was part-way through her song “Conceited” — lifted from her 2024 album This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway — when she abruptly fell to the stage in front of thousands of fans.
In footage of the incident, the pop star can be seen having a bout of shallow breathing and looking off stage moments before she collapses, as gasps are heard throughout the crowd.
It wasn’t long before people came from the side stage to provide medical attention, with a group of aides shielding her from the view of the audience.
It looks as though Young made it to her feet before exiting the stage, with some audience members cheering and applauding as her set came to an end.
Thankfully, Young was confirmed to be OK when the next performer, Remi Wolf, took to the stage and informed fans that Young was recovering backstage.
Young later took to her Instagram Stories to assure fans she was OK.
“For anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support,” the singer wrote.
At some point prior to the collapse, Young told the crowd that she was having “a tricky couple of days” but chose to perform because she didn’t want to “wallow in my sadness”.
Hours later, the festival’s headliner, Doechii, used part of her performance to send love Young’s way, describing her as a “sister” and an “incredibly talented artist”.
“She wasn’t feeling well tonight,” Doechii said. “I’m so glad you guys were there to support her and hold her. Let’s wish her the best, okay, everybody?”
The rapper then led a crowd chant of “We love you, Lola!”
At the time of writing, Young is still scheduled to perform the upcoming Maryland date of All Things Go, which also counts musicians like G Flip, Kesha and Djo on its lineup.
