LoL Patch 26.10 preview: Zeri gets some power back, Lee Sin adjusted

League of Legends patch 26.10 is looking to address the outstanding issues after the previous update introduced some new items and runes. Some of the characters lost some power, while the others became the abusers of the new systems.

Champion buffs

Ambessa should be a bit stronger now. Image via Riot Games

Ambessa

  • Q1/Q2 percent target max HP damage: 2–6% → 4–6%
  • R healing from abilities: 10–15% → 15–20%
  • Q1/Q2 bonus monster damage: 125 → 75
  • R healing effectiveness vs. monsters: 40% → 25%

Ambessa was changed in the last patch and lost a sizeable chunk of power as a result. These changes are aimed at bringing her satisfaction up a bit, as well as adding some damage to the Toplane variation.

Galio

  • Q mana cost: 70–90 → 60–80
  • E damage: 90–250 (+90% AP) → 100–240 (+100% AP)
  • R damage scales with 100% bonus magic resistance

Considering Galio’s role as a magical tank and how many players opt to build him into magic resist on midlane, his Ult dealing more damage is a good thing. Losing a bit of early damage on Q hurts, though.

Wukong

  • W clone damage: 30–50 → 40–60
  • W clone duration: 3.25 → 4
  • E attack speed: 35–55 → 40–60

Damage and attack speed are nice buffs, but more important is the clone duration. Skilled players will utilize this much more heavily and to great success.

Zeri

  • Q base damage: 21–33 → 22–38
  • Excess attack speed to AD conversion: 50% → 60%
  • Bugfix: Attacks during R extend duration by 1.5s → 2.5s

Riot changed Zeri back into the fast and spammy nuisance instead of an ult-reliant nuker, but it was evident that she lost way too much damage. This change is giving her back some.

Champion nerfs

Anivia

  • Base armor: 21 → 19
  • Armor growth: 4.5 → 4.1

Anivia is a major flavor-of-the-month character in pro play currently, and is being played on top and supports in addition to mid. This change is dialing her Toplane version down a bit by focusing on hitting her resists.

Ashe

  • Q AD ratio: 110–140% → 110–130%

This is a straightforward nerf to a popular ADC, but it’s definitely not the end of the world for her and she will remain strong.

Naafiri

  • P monster mod: 155% → 145%
  • W mana cost: 60 → 85/80/75/70/65

Naafiri hugely benefited from the Cyclosword change, which inflated her winrate beyond what’s reasonable. This should dial her down a bit, but it’s expected for her to remain super strong.

Shyvana

  • HP per level: 100 → 95
  • W cooldown: 13–9 → 13–10

Shyvana is the best character in the game post her big AP rebalance, and Riot is trying to rein the Dragon back somewhat.

Zed is dialed down a bit. Image via Riot Games

Zed

  • E damage: 70–170 (+80% bonus AD) → 70–160 (+70% bonus AD)
  • P percent target max HP damage: 6/8/10% → 5/7.5/10%

Just like Naafiri, Zed is also a beneficiary of the Cyclosword change. The reasoning for the nerf is exactly the same.

Champion adjustments

Lee Sin

W:

  • Shield: 70/115/160/205/250 → 60/105/150/195/240
  • 12s when used on non-champions and 6 when used on champions → 7s at all points
  • Lee Sin gets his shield when jumping to a minion or ward. The minion/ward will not receive a shield.

E:

  • +100% AD → +90% AD

R:

  • Body still sent flying when killed

More than any damage changes, it’s good that Riot is addressing two of the biggest pet peeves Lee Sin players had for ages. With the overall powercreep in the game, Lee Sin getting shielded by jumping to a ward is not a big deal, so he can do that again. Additionally, killing the target he ults now sends the body flying, which can knock up the enemies it hits.

Quinn

  • P now deals +50 damage to monsters
  • Q now deals 50% increased damage to monsters
  • R mana cost: 100/50/0 → 50/25/0

With Quinn, Riot has finally decided that her Ult should not cost as much mana as it did. Should help her mobility, as it’s no longer punishing to use the low-level one.

System buffs

Lich Bane

  • AP ratio: 40% AP → 45% AP
  • Movespeed: 4% → 6%

Stormraider’s Surge

  • Movespeed duration: 3s → 4s
  • Movespeed amount: 40% melee / 30% ranged → 48% melee / 36% ranged

Doran’s Bow

  • AD: 6 → 8

Doran’s Helm

  • Health: 110 → 130

System nerfs

Deathfire Touch

  • Damage per second: 4–12 levels 1–18 (+7% bonus AD) (+2.5% AP) → 3–12 levels 1–18 (+7% bonus AD) (+2.5% AP)

Gluttonous Greaves

  • Total cost: 950g → 1000g
  • Slay omnivamp per stack: 1%, up to 6 stacks for 6% → 0.6%, up to 10 stacks for 6%

26.11 Cleaver + DFT

  • Will have an internal cooldown
