Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings adjourned for the day amid opposition protest

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned on Friday till 11 am on 9th August as Opposition parties continued to protest over the Pegasus spyware controversy and other issues.'

As soon as the House met for the day, Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayana Singh congratulated wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya for winning the silver medal at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

The Lok Sabha passed the the Retrospective Tax Amendment bill shortly before getting adjourned for the day.

Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 11 am today as the opposition protested over the Pegasus scandal and other issues.
