LOI TV returns on game-by-game basis as season pass is dropped

LOI TV will be sold on a match-by-match basis only this season with supporters unable to purchase a season pass like before.

The FAI today launched the return of the streaming service for the 2022 Premier Division, First Division and Womens National League seasons.

And with no Covd restrictions on attendances, clubs are preparing for fans to attend matches in person each week.

All games - apart from those on live television - will still be streamed with a new two-camera operation but on a game by game basis only.

Each Premier Division fixture will cost €7, First Division matches are available for €5 and WNL games are free after registering on the website.

The curtain-raising President’s Cup match between Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick’s Athletic on February 11 will be streamed free of charge.

"We're delighted to announce the return of LOITV for the 2022 League of Ireland season," said League of Ireland Director Mark Scanlon.

"LOITV has been an incredible resource for supporters to follow their clubs, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is obvious LOITV has been a huge benefit to the League of Ireland across the Premier & First Division and Women's National League.

"With the announcement of the ending of restrictions, we're looking forward to seeing full League of Ireland stadiums and supporters to return to watching live football.

“As a result, matches will only be available through a single match pass in order to facilitate fans who cannot attend any matches as well as fans living overseas.

Scanlon added: "We're also delighted to be able to continue to offer live coverage of the Women's National League for free.

“It has been fantastic in our promotion of the domestic game and we're looking forward to even more supporters watching in 2022."
