Logitech G Fits review: the most premium wireless gaming earbuds money can buy

For those who prefer gaming earbuds or in-ear headphones over the industry standard gaming headset, it can be tough to find something which performs as well as the latter, but you don't have to compromise on performance with the Logitech G Fits.

These true wireless gaming earbuds are compatible through Lightspeed with Windows, Mac, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Android (9 or later), and can also be used with any devices which have Bluetooth audio connectivity. They provide in-ear moulding so they are suited perfectly to your ears, and have amazing sound quality.

The Logitech G Fits are priced at £229.99 / $229.99 which is roughly AU$424.70 when converted, however, these are not listed for sale in Australia yet. These are pretty pricey for gaming earbuds, given that the Razer Hammerhead true wireless are £79.99, and the more premium EPOS GTW in-ear wireless buds come in at £129.

The earbuds come in a small white charging case, which is the perfect size to keep in your pocket or bag. It also has a flat bottom which means it can sit on top of your desk without rolling around. The case charges via an included USB-C cable and also comes in black.

Now comes the coolest aspect of these earbuds which really had me swayed. The section of the bud which enters your ear features Lightform moulding technology, meaning when you first use them you are able to mould them to your ear shape specifically, so they're guaranteed to be the perfect fit. As someone with a lot of ear piercings, it can be hard to find earbuds which fit comfortably, but the buds were able to mould around my jewellery.

The external part of the buds features a small white stem, which is super clean and aesthetically pleasing. Some people, including myself, are hesitant about using gaming gear when out and about but these have a simple enough design that you can use them anywhere.

Logitech G Fits – Features

You're able to take advantage of both a Lightspeed 2.4Ghz connection and Bluetooth connection with these earbuds. Included in the box is a USB-A receiver for the Lightspeed connection, and you also get a USB-A to USB-C adaptor so you can move the receiver to the most optimum location for you.

The battery life on these buds isn't too extensive with 7 hours of listening time or 4.5 hours of talking time, however, the charging case also provides an extra 8 hours of listening time or 5 hours of talking time when using the Lightspeed connector. You get a bit longer on Bluetooth with 10 hours of listening time, plus an extra 12 hours with the charging case.

The sound quality that these earbuds produce is frankly amazing, and using the app allows you to access EQs which are optimized for different gaming genres. This helps amplify specific important sounds when you're in-game, like footsteps or gunshots, which was insanely helpful and needs minimal set-up.

If you're hoping to use these on the go for music, or podcasts, there are modes for this too. You get a rich base when listening to music and you can even take advantage of a bass-boosted setting if that's your vibe.

These earbuds also feature passive noise cancellation, as the buds make a seal within your ears to block out external noise. This worked so well that at first that I really thought it was active noise cancellation. However, a downside of this is that you don't have the option to turn it on or off, meaning they might not always be the best option when you're out and about.

The one aspect that really lets these earbuds down are the microphones, you'll find two, one on each earbud, and despite them getting the job done and transmitting your voice clearly enough for people to make out what you're saying, they're by no means fantastic quality.

Overall thoughts of the Logitech G Fits

The sound quality of these earbuds is clearly one of the standout features, but for the price point, you'd expect them to sound better than the competition. The ability to swap between EQs which are preloaded into the earbuds via the app is a fantastic addition and really takes these buds from everyday use to gaming specific. The other standout feature on offer here is the fact that the Lightform moulding makes the comfort of these earbuds simply unparalleled.

However, if you're looking for something with longer battery life and a good-quality microphone then you're out of luck here. These are features that I'm personally willing to overlook, as it's easy to leave these on charge between gaming sessions and I already have an external microphone. Overall, the Logitech G Fits are the most premium wireless gaming earbuds money can buy, and you would expect them to be given the price.
