Logan Paul mocks Paddy Pimblett after signing deal with UFC chief Dana White

Logan Paul has claimed he is Paddy Pimblett's "daddy" after his Prime Energy drink recently became an official sponsor of the UFC.

Since its launch last year, Prime has become hugely popular and often sells out as soon as it hits the shelves in UK supermarkets. The UFC have capitalised on Prime's success as the hydration drink will now receive "unprecedented branding" in the organisation, something that Pimblett likely isn't too happy about.

'The Baddy' recently launched his own 'Body Fuel' energy drink alongside Applied Nutrition, which isn't an official partner of the UFC. In a video promoting the drink, Pimblett attempted to explain why the product is better than Prime, which 'The Baddy' compared to Gatorade. Pimblett also attempted to show how much two grams of sugar is, the sugar content of Prime, by pouring a large amount of it onto a table.

The video didn't sit well with Paul, who threatened to sue Pimblett for misinformation whilst labelling his Body Fuel drink as a knockoff version of Prime. In an Instagram live video with KSI, Paul's former boxing opponent and Prime co-founder, the pair mocked Pimblett and Paul even said he is the UFC star's "daddy" now that Prime is an official sponsor of the organisation.

“Thanks to the UFC,” Paul said. “It’s going to be a wild a** ride. Paddy I’m coming for you, watch out, you’re sponsored by Prime now." KSI then broke into laughter and said: “He can’t promote his drink, what is it? Body fuel or some s***.” Both men continued to laugh before Paul said: “Damn, I’m Paddy’s daddy now.”

Prime's logo will likely be displayed in the very octagon that Pimblette will be fighting in, which could leave the Scouser feeling awkward having previously trashed the product. The new branding will also see the UFC's red and blue corners, in which fighters recover at in between rounds, renamed to the Prime Hydration Recovery Zones. Prime will also be named as the exclusive sponsor for all UFC pay-per-view events.

Paul has discussed making his UFC debut with Dana White and called out Pimblett for a fight last year, telling True Geordie : "I'm taking out Paddy The Baddy dude, I'm taking him out." The YouTube star said he wanted to fight someone in the UFC who can sell tickets and believes Pimblett, who he labelled a "loud mouth" would be a perfect opponent. Pimblett predicted he would submit Paul "quite easily" and dismissed the big size difference between the pair.
