Logan Paul celebrates "great news" hours before Floyd Mayweather fight

Logan Paul has shared "great news" on the morning of his fight with Floyd Mayweather after confirming he was yet to sneeze.

The social media sensation will take on the biggest name in boxing in Miami tonight in an eight-round exhibition bout.

Paul lost his only previous professional fight to KSI back in November 2019, but claimed he wasn't at 100 per cent.

Following the defeat he blamed sickness but has tweeted this morning to say: "Great news i woke up this morning and sneezed 0 times".

Paul said back in 2019 that his sickness took away his "killer instinct" and claimed he didn't perform up to the standard he'd set himself.

"I think nine out of ten times I beat JJ. Tonight was the night that one out ten times," he said.

"Can you hear my voice? I’m sick. I woke up sick. I’ve been sick for the past three days.

"First thing I did this morning was sneeze, three times. I’ve been sneezing throughout the whole day."

He then added: "If I’m being honest with you, it took away that killer instinct that I’ve had this whole two months in sparring.

"That is the worst performance that I’ve had in the last two months. Something changed today.

"I had a talk with my brother backstage and we got a little emotional, it’s like there’s something in me that has a problem taking it from 99 to 100 and crossing that finishing line in boxing and wanting to hurt the man in the ring."

Paul has weighed in at 35 lbs heavier than Mayweather ahead of tonight's contest.

The 44-year-old will not put his perfect 50-0 record on the line due to the exhibition nature of the fight.

Speaking after the weigh-in, Paul said: "He's not ready, he doesn't know what to expect.

"This is not the biggest fight of my life, this is the biggest fight of his life. He's got a lot on the line and he's got everything to lose.

"I'm going to go in there and have fun. The fact I'm even up here proves this s*** is a simulation, none of its real.

"Tomorrow I break the simulation and beat the greatest boxer in the history of the planet.

"I'm going to get it done, it's a fight and anything can happen. Floyd's not ready, that's all I can say."

Mayweather added: "I've been here before so I know what it takes. I've fought every different style you can possibly fight

"Height doesn't win fights, weight doesn't win fights, fighting wins fights at the end of the day and I can fight. I've been at the top for 25 years I know what it takes when its a fight of this magnitude."
