Logan and Jake Paul warned their novelty is wearing off despite success

Former UFC champion Michael Bisping believes Logan and Jake Paul's popularity is dwindling despite their recent success in the boxing ring.

The pair have had huge success after entering the world of combat sports with Jake having won his five professional fights in the boxing ring. Meanwhile, Logan shared the ring with legend Floyd Mayweather last year and has also taken part in the WWE's showpiece event Wrestlemania 38 this year.

However, Bisping believes that the numbers behind the YouTube siblings have decreased in recent months. " Jake Paul and Logan Paul, I feel like their star is maybe dwindling a little bit because it used to be [like] if we spoke about them, the numbers went through the roof," Bisping said on his Believe You Me podcast.

"If I did a YouTube video and it featured Logan Paul or Jake Paul recently with the fighting stuff, great numbers, great numbers but not so much anymore. I think the rub, the shine, the appeal, the novelty, whatever word you want to use is kind of slowly wearing off."

Bisping has recently been called out to a boxing fight with Paul which generated significant interest. The YouTube star claimed he could beat the former UFC middleweight champion.

However a fight between the pair is unlikely to materialise with other opponents preferred for his next fight. Tommy Fury and Anderson Silva are said to be in-line to share the ring with Jake in his sixth professional fight that has been announced for August 13.

The YouTube star hasn't fought since knocking out Tyron Woodley in a rematch last year after his original opponent Fury withdrew at short notice. Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub disagrees and believes that Paul has made boxing "more popular than ever" by drawing in huge audience numbers.

"Look at the analytics," Schaub said on the latest episode of The Schaub Show. "The reason boxing has become more popular than ever is because of Jake Paul. That is black and white. "You can hate on me all you want. The reason boxing views are up is because of Logan and particularly Jake Paul. Boxing needed that to get people to f***ing tune in."

Jake's brother Logan has yet to compete since his boxing clash with Mayweather which sold a significant one million pay-per-views. He is expected to have earned around $15 million for the exhibition, in which he survived the distance in his third boxing outing.

Paul is yet to confirm his next fight in the ring but has verbally agreed to face fellow Youtuber Whindersson. The 27-year-old is instead focused on other ventures but even teased a debut in the UFC, and proposed a bout with "loud mouth" Paddy Pimblett.
