Logan and Jake Paul hire extra security after Floyd Mayweather 'death threat'

Logan Paul has claimed that he and brother Jake have hired round-the-clock security after Floyd Mayweather threatened to ‘kill’ the YouTube star after their altercation last week.

Mayweather faced off with the elder Paul brother for the first time ahead of their June 6th exhibition fight at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida, before Jake got in on the action during an interview session.

And speaking to TMZ, Logan Paul has said that the brothers are concerned for their safety outside of the ring after the boxing legend threatened to kill Jake in his heated outburst.

“Floyd’s threatened to kill my brother,” said Paul. “So we’re taking security precautions. [We have security] everywhere at all times, it’s more than usual.

“When you have a guy with the resources and the wealth that Floyd Mayweather has, and the connection and the network, and he's saying s** like 'I'm going to kill that motherf***r', you go ‘Kill? Death? You're gonna kill my brother over a f**king hat?

“Yeah, we take that s*** seriously man!"

Asked if he would go to the police with his concerns, he added: “That would be such a b**** move!

“Jake got cracked by Floyd in the face, and somebody mentioned to us that ‘oh you could sue him’.

“I said ‘that is the most b**** move I could think of’. Sue him? Nah.”

Paul will have the chance to get his own back on Mayweather on June 6th when he steps into the ring with arguably one of the best boxers of all time.

The YouTube star is 0-1 as a professional after losing a split decision to British social media star JJ ‘KSI’ Olatunji, but has a huge size advantage over his next opponent.

He stands 6”2’, and will be allowed to weigh 190 lbs, as much as 30 lbs heavier than 5”8’ Mayweather at 160 lbs.

Despite criticism over the bout, Paul claims that the event could make over $100 million through pay-per-view sales, ticket sales and advertising.

He told TMZ that he expects to make around £14million for the fight, which is just his third time in the ring after an amateur bout with KSI ended in a draw that led to the pair turning pro for the rematch.

Paul is coached by veteran cornerman Milton Lacroix, who helped Shannon Briggs to win the World Heavyweight title in 2005 and has been living with Paul since the pair linked up in 2018.
