Lockerbie real ale brewery produces its first ever bottles of gin for the festive season

A Lockerbie brewery
reputed for its real ales has produced a festive first — bottles of gin named after the town.

Michael Tough of Lowland Brewing said the limited edition Lockerbie Gin is already proving popular with its distinctive taste and eye-catching label designed by his niece, Emily.

Pubs in Lockerbie, Moffat and Annan are already adding it to their shelves ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Michael said it is his “first foray into the world of juniper” and is delighted at the local enthusiasm for the gin and plans to expand sales.

Assistant manager Corin Skinner was at an event in Lockerbie Town Hall last week where bottles of the gin were snapped up by shoppers.
