As Halo 2 launches worldwide, it looks like Microsoft have clamped down on users with "modded" Xboxes. It seems that owners of illegally modified consoles - which let users run pirated games - will be locked out of Xbox Live, the online gaming service. And this covers people who have replaced their Xbox hard-drive as well. A few months ago this would have possibly been a blessing, but releases like Star Wars Battlefront, Halo 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer have made Live a great place to play. Is piracy that much of a problem on Xbox?
