The Canada Goose store on Grafton Street has broken its silence about rife speculation surrounding its future in Dublin.
It was hinted over the weekend that the shop, which has only been open since before the new year, would be closing its doors for good.
Canada Goose confirmed that the store had started off as a pop up but that demand was so high, their lease was extended until March 2022.
Its future beyond that still remains uncertain though with the brand eyeing up future options.
Canada Goose said: "The pop up store on Grafton Street opened in December for an agreed period.
"In the time we were open, there was such a strong response that we extended the initial lease until the end of March 2022."
They added: "At this time, we have no further details around potential future openings but are always looking for great locations to bring our brand to life.”
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the store has only been open for a few weeks since coming to Grafton street last December.
A number of high street stores have vacated their Dublin bases due to the effects of Covid-19.
Tommy Hilfiger, Monsoon, Topman, Urban Decay and Ecco are among some of the recent closures on Grafton Street.

At the start of January, the high-end clothes shop was broken into just after 4am on a Saturday morning with a gang smashing the front door which also looked like it was "pulled off the hinges".
Eye-witness, Aindriu Breathnach was one of the first people on the scene when staff made the shock realisation this morning.
He came across the incident just as a Dublin City worker was sweeping up the remains of the door as shocked workers watched on.
He told Dublin Live: The Canada Goose shop on Grafton Street was smashed open and hit up by some sort of gang this morning.

"From what I could see, it was the front door that was smashed or pulled off the hinges.
"The jackets in the shop are normally in place with a wire lock. I recently got one for my partner and some retail well over €1,000 per jacket.

"There was a Dublin City road sweeper unit there cleaning up the glass that was shattered all over the street."
