This Friday May 1, Belfast Live will partner with Belfast’s dedicated music hub, the Oh Yeah Music Centre, for a series of live sessions to promote and support Northern Ireland’s music community.
Ahead of that, we're taking a look at all 10 of the artists performing throughout the day.
Second to perform on the day are The Darkling Air.
Purveyors of some of the most affecting Irish folk music out there, The Darkling Air is made up of duo Rachel McCarthy and Michael Keeney.
They're based in Bangor and have developed a distinctive sound involving haunting vocals, piano, guitars and string arrangments. T
Having released their debut album, Untamed and Beloved, in 2016, the duo follows it up with last year's ‘Ancestor’, released in November.
Their newest single, 'Old Romantic', came out on Valentine's Day 2020.
The Darkling Air will be the second act to perform as part of our 'Lockdown Sessions' - taking centre stage live on our Instagram account at 1pm.
