Lockdown loophole means you can go inside friend or family's home when rules ease on Monday

Brits will be able to enter the homes of their friends and relatives when lockdown rules are eased for Monday for three specific reasons.

Gatherings of six people in private gardens will be allowed in England from Monday when the Rule of Six returns, and outdoor sport will also resume.

Under the new rules, Brits will be able to go into other people's homes but only for three specific reasons, as the Mirror reports.

You will be able to go inside other people's houses for a short period of time to get a drink, use the toilet or to access the garden.

Mingling indoors will still be banned and social distancing must continue to be observed.

The Government is changing its official advice from 'stay at home' to 'stay local', although it is not exactly clear what this means.

Outdoor swimming pools, tennis, golf courses and more will be allowed to reopen on Monday.

The scheduled relaxation of restrictions is the second part of Boris Johnson's lockdown exit plan.

It will also see the return of the Rule of Six, meaning six people - or two households - can mingle outdoors.

The first stage of the Prime Minister's lockdown roadmap took place on March 8, when schools reopened and Brits were allowed to meet up with a friend outdoors.

Non-essential shops are expected to finally reopen from April 12, alongside hairdressers and barbers.

Pubs will also be able to serve punters outdoors from this date.

All restrictions will finally be lifted from June 21, with nightclubs planning huge two-day parties to celebrate the event.
