Lockdown Ireland: The Government's list of seven rules from Sunday including travel change

A number of rule changes come into effect from midnight on Saturday, December 26 as Ireland steps further into full lockdown.

The biggest change of the lot is that travel outside of your county is now forbidden - unless you are travelling back home.

So, effectively, you have one travel pass over the next few days to return home from where you went for Christmas.

Visitors to your house are now limited to one other household as of midnight, this had been two over the Christmas period.

Cafes, restaurants and pubs operating as restaurants are now all back to delivery and take-away only.

Places of worship changed on St Stephen's Day already to private and online worship only.

There is a slight change to retail in the fact that from December 27 the Government state they can "open but with no January sales".

Weddings remain at a max of 25 people while hotels can serve food to guests only.

A Government spokesperson adds: "At Level 5, the public health risk means that you will be asked to stay at home, with certain exceptions. There will be no gatherings other than small numbers at funerals and weddings."

The next raft of changes come in on January 1 - we will remind you here on Irish Mirror.ie about those changes the day before.
