Here we go again.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin is to announce an extension of lockdown restrictions at 6pm on Tuesday as more months of misery fall over the country.
Very little changes are expected in the Cabinet's new Living with Covid plan with a concise plan for schools the most we can expect.
Elements of the very, very, very slow reopening approach being implemented by the Government has already filtered out before the official statement this evening.
So here's what we know so far:
Review date:
Level 5 restrictions are set to remain in place until at least April 5, another six weeks, under the new plan.
Pubs and restaurants:
Don't even ask. "Mid-summer" at best.
Vaccines:
The Government hope to start vaccinating 250,000 people per week from the start of April in some hopeful news from this announcement.
Schools:
Students are expected to return next Monday as Leaving Cert and primary classes of junior infants to second class are to resume lessons in class on March 1, this has been confirmed by Green party leader Eamon Ryan.
He spoke briefly to reporters on the way out of the crunch meeting that laid the ground for Tuesday’s full Cabinet meeting where the revised Living with Covid plan will be officially signed-off on.
Mr Ryan confirmed to reporters outside Government Buildings that the Cabinet subcommittee were all in agreement on this.
Mr Ryan added: “Paul Reid (chief executive of the HSE) and Dr Ronan Glynn (Deputy Chief Medical Officer) they gave their perspective.
“We’ll set out the details tomorrow, we (the special subcommittee) meet again in the morning, then the Cabinet at lunchtime on Tuesday.”
Construction
Another priority sector for Government but builders and chippies may have to wait another few weeks before they are allowed back on sites again.
The sector is likely to remain closed except certain exemptions for essential builds.
Cash supports
It is expected that it will be announced that cash supports for workers will be extended out to the end of June as the economy remains on life support.
