Amid the novel coronavirus scare, the Himachal Pradesh government on Monday announced a State-wide lock down with immediate effect till further orders.
A government statement said all inter-State and intra-State movement of public and private transport and contract carriages including taxis and autorickshaws had been prohibited.
“There would be total prohibition on the movement of trains and commercial aircraft. The private vehicles would ply only to hospitals and for essential services. Goods carriage vehicles would be allowed to ply,” it said.
Himachal Pradesh has so far seen two confirmed cases in district Kangra.
