The lockdown did little to hamper the birthday celebrations of MLA for Turuvekere Masale Jayaram.
The BJP MLA celebrated his birthday at Idaguru village in Gubbi taluk of Tumakuru district on Friday but failed to observe social distancing or wear a mask. Even his supporters were not seen observing the rules in a video clip that was doing the rounds on social media.
The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Karnataka crossed the 200 mark on April 10, of which Bengaluru Urban has reported 71 cases, the highest in the State. On a positive note, the first person who tested positive, from a pharma company, in Mysuru has recovered, and was discharged on Friday.
