Lockdown baby Paige scoops Cute Kids award

The many thousands of votes have been counted and we can now reveal our Cute Kids winners.

Paige Melling is your ECHO Cute Kids winner for 2021.

With this cheeky little smile and her big blue eyes, this six-month-old has touched the hearts of our reader and officially been voted our bonniest baby in the region.

Paige's mum said: "I am just so grateful for friends and family all coming together to get involved with Cute Kids. I had tokens being posted in through my door left, right and centre. Paige is a lockdown baby so she really hasn't got to see many people, so having her involved with this and people being so loving and friendly has just been unbelievable. She really is just a little star. We are so proud of her."

Paige was born during lockdown last year and her little life has been somewhat restricted as she has been unable to meet other children and take part in normal family activities and trips.

After our competition, she has been gifted £500 as well as a £100 gift card kindly gifted to each winner to spend at Baby Melanie.

More than 600 adorable youngsters were entered into this year's competition, and more than a million votes were placed.

Bonnie Rose Thoms was the second runner up, winning £300 as well as a £100 gift card to spend at Baby Melanie.

Freya-Wilson Price was the third runner up, winning £200 as well as a £100 gift card to spend at Baby Melanie.

Chloe Robinson, the promotions manager, said: "After such a difficult year, it was great to reintroduce the ECHO's popular Cute Kids competition and thanks to all the parents who entered their little cuties!

We had some gorgeous pictures sent in and I'm sure not only did it bring some smiles to the parents seeing their little ones in the ECHO, but also to our readers as well.

Having received some overwhelming numbers of votes for the first round, we then printed the top 40 who were voted for again and we can now proudly announce our winners.

We hope they enjoy spending their winnings. Thank you to all that entered and notes, as always it's been a pleasure."
