A mum of three is finishing her maternity leave early to relaunch a Slimming World group.
Joanne Slaven, who has a two-year-old and eight-month-old twins, said she felt the opportunity to relaunch the group in Lochwinnoch was too good to miss.
The Johnstone woman said: “I feel so passionate about the plans. They are so easy to follow.
“From before I had children and was going out for dinner and having a glass of wine, to becoming a mum and now cooking family meals, there’s something for everyone.
“That’s reflected in the group as well.
“There are people of all ages from all walks of life there. It suits so many people.
“I’m planning to go back to work part-time as a recruitment consultant but I’m finishing my maternity leave early to do this.
“I felt it was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
Joanne, 41, first followed the Slimming World plan ten years ago when she was preparing for her wedding to husband Mark. She lost two stones and went from a size 16 to a size 10.
She put on four stones during her first pregnancy then lost it again afterwards.

Then when she fell pregnant with her twin boys, she put on a bit over four stones again.
“I was back at Slimming World a month after they were born,” she said. “It’s great that it’s continued during the pandemic.
“I’m now one stone away from target and want to get there for 2021.
“I’ve been a member for so long and I know it’s tried and tested. I felt becoming a leader was something I could really make a go of.
“If I’ve achieved it, other people can too.”
Joanne’s class will relaunch tomorrow.
Members can book a time for their weigh-in between 5pm and 7pm then log onto a Zoom call from 7.30pm for the group call where they will discuss hints and tip and support each other.
