Lochrutton Primary pupils enjoy success in annual K'nex competition at Castle Douglas

P5 and P6 pupils from the Castle Douglas High School cluster recently took part in the annual K’nex competition.

They had to design and make a go-kart which had at least four wheels, a seat and a steering mechanism.

All pupils worked really hard. Some found the steering mechanism very challenging to master but like all good engineers they adapted their designs.

Lochrutton Primary pupils brave the rain to raise funds for Cancer Research  

The winners were Charlotte and Cate from Lochrutton Primary who go through to the regional final to be held in Dumfries next term.

The winning pair are pictured with senior pupils and teacher Mr Courten who were the judges.
