Loch Ness Monster spotter submits sketch as 'evidence' following 9th Nessie sighting of the year

The ninth 'official' sighting of the Loch Ness Monster this year has been recorded.

The latest report added to the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register included a sketch of what the tourist who was up visiting from the Northwest of England spotted on the water.

The latest strange occurrence at Loch Ness took place on July 30 and has been added by the register, which catalogues all sightings of something unexplained in Loch Ness.

The report, which was added by a Mr Veacock, read: "Mr Veacock visiting from the North West of England was parked up in the last lay by north of the castle scanning the loch with his binoculars when he noticed something two thirds across the loch away.

"He originally thought it was a foot high and some five-foot long, but later was able to compare it with the Jacobite Warrior as it passed by the area.

"As such, he stated that what he observed was easily the length of the handrail at the rear of that boat which led him to re-assess what he saw as nearly two-foot high and ten to twelve feet long.

"He said the same was witnessed by two other families in the layby."

The report included a sketch of what Mr Veacock believes he saw.

The sketch posted on the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register of the latest unexplained sighting (Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register)

The incident quickly follows the eighth 'official' sighting which took place just eleven days earlier on July 19 when a father and daughter from Chester spotted something unusual on the surface of the loch while on a hillwalking holiday.

It comes as another English tourist slated Loch Ness in a bizarre one-star TripAdvisor review after complaining that the 'monster didn't show up'.

He said was left 'bitterly disappointed' after 'waiting for hours' for Scotland's folklore creature to make an appearance during their holiday.
